Our Story
Leo’s Organic Bowl was started by a dog lover who realized that the commercially available dog food, although labeled as wholesome and high quality, is highly processed. The brown perfectly shaped “kibble” is high in carbohydrates and also contains food products that would otherwise be discarded as “unfit for humans.” The contents of kibble include meat and animal by-products and highly saturated animal fat. We at Leo’s Organic Bowl believe our beloved furry friends deserve much better. We have paired up with top vets to ensure that our organic and conventional, human grade recipes are nutritionally balanced and complete. All of our organic products are locally sourced when possible and are cooked in clean and safe U.S. kitchens where only human food is lovingly cooked.

Leo
When we first brought our Leo home, he was 6 months old. Like most other dog parents, we fed him kibble. We noticed he would eat only because he was hungry and he had no other option. Additionally he would eat only until he just started to feel full. It was obvious he was not enjoying the kibble. We also tried commercially available wet dog food with the same results. We then started to add organic home cooked chicken to the kibble and he ate more happily and in greater quantities. Realizing the commercially available food was poor quality, we decided to cook for Leo, including various organic fruits and vegetables in his diet. His eating habits changed and he started to love his meals and looked forward to mealtime. As a dog parent, one of the best feelings is knowing you are feeding your beloved pet the best possible food. Today, Leo is the inspiration for Leo’s Organic Bowl.
